Sew a rare 1930s baby romper from a genuine vintage pattern. This is a faithful reproduction of Butterick 3670, delivered as an instant digital download.

The design: a button-in-back romper with a cluster of tucks over each shoulder and a buttoned crotch. View A has a contrast collar and cuffs trimmed with blanket stitch; View B has a lace-edged collar. Sleeves come in two lengths, with belts that button in front or tie in back.

Notions needed: 1 small skein mercerized embroidery cotton for blanket stitching; 12 buttons for View A or 9 for View B.

Size (this listing is Size 1 only): Bust 20".

A note on the pattern pieces: like many 1930s patterns, the originals carried no printed writing — only the pattern letter. Basic markings (cut numbers, grain lines, etc.) have been added for you; see the sample image.
