Sew classic 1940s neckties from a genuine wartime pattern. This is a faithful reproduction of Simplicity 4816 (1943), delivered as an instant digital download.
The design: men's neckties in three styles. The bow tie is cut on the straight grain, interlined and faced, with square or pointed ends. The bias tie comes in two lengths — 45" (cut in three sections to save fabric) and 47" (cut in two) — lined or unlined. The interlining pattern is included, along with instructions for cutting a cardboard pressing board to keep the tie crisp. Perfect for dress remnants — exactly as thrifty 1943 intended.
Size: one size, two lengths (45" and 47").
A note on the pattern pieces: the original had no printed markings; helpful notes from the envelope information have been added. All pieces include a ½" seam allowance.
